Hiring a cleaner you have never met
How senders get a good clean from a stranger, first time.
Before you request
The best cleaning brief is a concrete description of the work. Say how many rooms and bathrooms need attention, name the surfaces or appliances you want cleaned, and distinguish a routine tidy from a deep clean. Explain whether products and tools are available at the address. A verified agent can then judge the scope and accept your offer or counter with a price for the work you described.
Your checklist
- Describe the place in rooms, not adjectives: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen.
- Say whether cleaning products are available at home. It changes the price.
- Price per day for a deep clean, per hour for a tidy. The app shows the estimated total.
- Be there, or have someone there. You get a notification at on the way, working and done.
- Look at the done photos before you approve.
An example request
For a three-bedroom flat in Yaba, a useful brief is: 'Clean three bedrooms, two bathrooms, the kitchen and living room on Saturday. Cleaning products are available. Please focus on the kitchen worktops and bathroom fittings. Someone will be at home to provide access.' Add tasks such as windows or an oven separately so they are part of the agreement instead of an assumption on arrival.
Before you approve
Look at the proof photos from the finished job and compare them with the agreed scope. If a room or requested task is missing, use the chat to ask about it before approving. Agree any extra work and price through the request flow. You can rate the agent after approval and use Book again for a future request, with a fresh brief for that job.
